Davao City, Philippines - A female crew member of Cebu Pacific flight 5J 955 bound for Davao, was slapped by a passenger after allegedly refusing to help the passenger stow away her bag in the overhead compartment of the plane.

Based on a Facebook post of “A Fly Guy’s Cabin Crew Lounge”, Madel Ty, the Cebu Pacific lead cabin crew on board, posted pictures of her face and neck with red markings, from the alleged slap.
According to Ty’s post, she is sharing to the public what she experienced and hopes that this will serve as a lesson to “fight for what is right, and hopefully won’t happen again.”

The victim did not elaborate anymore on what really transpired during the said altercation but said that the passenger even insulted her by saying, “your job is to assist passengers, if this were a bus you’re the fare collectors! Goddamnit!”

Ty said that she has no problem being compared to fare collectors, because their job is honorable.  The victim insisted that she even apologized several times and disregarded the insults being thrown at her.

However, the slap made it worst.  Ty is contemplating on pressing charges against the said passenger.
Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific management is standing by Ty and said that they will extend all necessary help in case the cabin crew decided to continue pressing charges against the assailant.
