Manila, Philippines - Former Department of Defense (DND) Secretary Gilbert Teodoro has once again turned down the offer of President Rodrigo Duterte to join his Cabinet.
President Duterte confirmed the news during his press conference in Davao City midnight of Thursday.
According to the President, he had a talk with Teodoro, offering him anew the DND post but the latter refused the offer once again.
Since Teodoro declined the position and Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenza does not want to be an ambassador, Duterte said Lorenzana will continue to head the DND.
Prior to this, the President said that he was thinking of assigning Lorenzana as Philippine Ambassador to the US and Teodoro as DND secretary.
