Manila, Philippines - President Rodrigo Duterte has once again offered the Defense Secretary post to Gilbert Teodoro Jr.
During his speech in front of military officials in Malacanang on Tuesday, President Duterte stated that he will soon be assigning Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana an “ambassador” post to an undisclosed country. His seat will be vacated and the President hopes that Teodoro will re-consider his offer.
Prior to this, Duterte already offered the DND Secretary post to Teodoro prior to his assumption to office last May. However, the former Defense Secretary during the Arroyo administration, turned down the offer after discussing it with his family.
The President added that he already asked someone to relay his invitation anew to Teodoro.
