Philippines - Former President Benigno Aquino III gave unsolicited advice to President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Leila De Lima amid the intensifying ‘word war’ between the two officials.
Aquino is hopeful that the word war between the two officials will not distract from the real purpose of the government, which is to get rid of corrupt officials and end illegal drugs activities.
Aquino said that he expects that allegation should be backed by by evidence.
He added that there is an established system and existing laws on how to probe suspected individuals to find out the truth.
Aquino and De Lima are both from the Liberal Party.
