DFA launches new look of PHL passport

Manila, Philippines - Starting next week, all applicants for new and renewal passports will be receiving their passports with its new design.

Foreign Affairs Asst. Sec. Charles Jose showed the newly-dressed electronic passport, with its security features.

The new design includes the state of the art painting technology using ultra violet ink and thread.
The theme of the new passport showcases the beauty of the Philippines, with each page showcasing the different tourist spots in the country.

The passport will also hold some lines from the Philippine National Anthem.

On the first page, the Philippine Eagle will be displayed and last page has the Philippine sea turtle.
According to Jose, they started printing the newly designed passports last Monday and will be delivered to those who made it to the deadline of printing.
