Manila, Philippines - The Bureau of Customs seized different kinds of imported candies from China allegedly worth Php2.5 million.

Based on the entry declaration of the agency, the shipment was on board five container vans and arrived at the port last August 5.

The shipment had no permit from the Foods and Drugs Administration, prompting Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon to issue a warrant of Seizure and Detention on the shipment consigned to Jolt Aquamarine Food Corporation.

The said company has an office in Binondo, Manila.
