Manila, Philippines - The Supreme Court halted for 20 days the planned hero’s burial of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
In a press conference, Supreme Court Spokesman Atty. Theodore Te said that the Supreme Court issued a status quo ante order.
Based on the order, there will be no discussions or movement regarding the issue on Marcos’ burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
The Supreme Court en banc also postponed the scheduled oral argument set for tomorrow, Aug. 24, to Aug. 31, Wednesday at 10 a.m.
The late President Marcos is set to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on September 18.
