Manila, Philippines - Sadness starts to creep in to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach as she will soon relinquish her crown to the next Miss Universe.
The former teen star added that she feels sad whenever losing the crown enters her mind.
She also said that she can’t help but reminisce the times when she had to try her luck three times in the Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant before being crowned as the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and represented the country in the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world.
Pia is the third Filipina beauty to bring home the crown, following Miss Gloria Diaz and Margie Moran.
For Pia, joining the Miss Universe pageant is not just about being beautiful; it is actually a full-time job where one needs to apply before getting hired, or for them, before getting the crown.
Miss Universe 2016 is set to be held here in the Philippines on January 30, 2017. This has been confirmed by the Department of Tourism and there is a possibility too that US comedian Steve Harvey will be back as the pageant’s host due to an existing contract with the Miss Universe management.
