Gamiaw Weather Update: PAGASA: Monsoon to dump rains in Metro Manila and other parts of Phl

Manila, Philippines -  — The southwest monsoon will continue to dump rains over Metro Manila, the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Calabarzon and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro and Palawan on Wednesday, PAGASA said.
In its 5 a.m. advisory, the state weather bureau said the southwest monsoon "habagat" is enhanced by a low pressure area spotted off Cagayan province. The monsoon continues to affect Luzon and western Mindanao.
Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon may expect cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms, the state weather bureau said.
PAGASA expects partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms to prevail over the rest of the country, prompting schools in Luzon to suspend classes since Tuesday.
It also issued a gale warning as the sea condition in the western seaboard of central, southern and eastern Luzon is rough to very rough. Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out to sea while larger vessels are alerted against big waves.

Meanwhile, Several local government units declared class suspensions on Wednesday as monsoon rains continue to affect Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

State weather bureau PAGASA issued an orange warning level  over ‎Bataan‬, ‎Cavite‬ and ‎Batangas‬ which means flooding is threatening in low-lying areas and near river channels.

A yellow warning level, meanwhile, was raised over ‎Metro Manila‬, ‎Pampanga‬, ‪‎Bulacan‬, ‪‎Zambales‬, ‎Rizal‬ and Laguna which means flooding is possible.
