Baguio boy is top cadet of PMA Class 2015

FORT DEL PILAR, Baguio City—A Cordilleran is leading this year’s graduates of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), officials of the country’s premier military training school announced on Monday.

Cadet First Class Arwi Martinez of Baguio City will receive the Presidential Saber from President Aquino on March 15 for topping the graduating Sinaglahi (Sundalong Isinilang na may Angking Galing at Lakas, Handang Ipaglaban ang Bayan) Class of 2015.

The class has 171 members.

The lone female cadet in the top 10 graduates is Cadet First Class Caroline Jhoy Nacional of Maitum, Sarangani, who ranked fifth.

The other top graduates are: Cadets First Class Genesis Dizon (2nd) of Zamboanga City; John Paul Bacsain (3rd) of Pili, Camarines Sur; Paolo Dominic Regis (4th) of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro; John Denver Bambico (6th) of Naguilian, La Union; Jan Klyde Blair Danganan (7th) of Baguio City; Steven Tali (8th) of Zamboanga City; Brain Villanueva (9th) of General Santos City; and Regeric Rex Fuentes (10th) of M’lang, North Cotabato.
