Manila, Philippines - Vice President Leni Robredo attended her first Cabinet meeting earlier today after President Rodrigo Duterte assigned her as chairperson of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.
Robredo was I Malacanang for her preliminary meeting with the other members of the Cabinet.
Malacanang immediately released a photo, indicating that all went well during the said Cabinet meeting.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet will be meeting with President Duterte later this afternoon, wherein the President is expected to formally introduce Robredo as the new chairperson of HUDC.
Prior to this, Georgina Hernandez, Robredo’s spokesperson said that the role of the Vice President as HUDCC chairperson will be discussed at the Cabinet meeting with the President.
Vice President Robredo accepted the President’s offer to be the Housing Czar amid the previous statement of President Duterte that he will not be giving Robredo any Cabinet position because he does not want to offend his friend, Senator Bongbong Marcos Jr.
