Gamiaw Weather: Update on typhoon Carina

At 11:00 p.m., tonight, 31 July 2016 Tropical Depression "CARINA" slightly intensified and is now over the Balintang Channel.

The typhoon has an estimated rainfall amount from moderate to heavy within the 500 km diameter of the Severe Tropical Storm. Fisher folks are alerted against  rough to very rough seas over the seaboards of Luzon.

Areas under TCWS #1 and #2, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Central Luzon and the rest of northern Luzon are alerted against moderate to heavy rains which may trigger flash floods and landslides.

Strength:	Maximum sustained winds of up to 100 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 130 kph.

Considerable damage to shrubbery and trees with some heavy-foliaged trees blown down.
