Philippines - Coach Freddie Roach refuses for Senator Manny Pacquiao to go up against Terence Crawford.
On Sunday, the unbeaten Crawford registered his 29th win against Viktor Postol. Roach is also the coach of Postol.
According to Roach, he was surprised how fast and strong Crawford was until his fight with Postol. Roach likens him to that of a younger Floyd Mayweather Jr.
If he will have a say on Pacquiao’s next match, the coach would suggest another match first for the rookie Senator before facing the undefeated Crawford.
Pacman, who vowed to be present in Senate sessions, contrary to his previous performance when he was still a member of the House of Representatives, remains mum on who he will be up against. Though there have been reports that it could be WBA/WBO champion Jessie Vargas.
Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is allegedly reserving November 5 as the date for Pacquiao’s next fight.
