Gamiaw Entertainment: Vivian Velez reacts to Freddie Aguilar’s appointment as NCCA chief

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Vivian Velez reacted to the reported appointment of folk-singer Freddie Aguilar to lead the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

The NCCA is the official arts council for the Philippines, an overall policy making body, coordinating and grants giving agency for the preservation, development and promotion of Philippine arts and culture.

According to Vivian, the said position is delicate and requires higher educational background regarding the arts that suits to a high management skilled individual.

Velez questioned Aguilar’s capability to be qualified in the mentioned position.

The actress added that it is not hidden that Aguilar is a supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte but for her, the folk-singer lacks the experiential background and management to lead the agency.
