A
boy was killed and another was critically injured after they were hit
by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train along Quirino Highway in
Manila on Wednesday afternoon.
According to witnesses, the two boys were crossing the southbound railway when they got hit by an oncoming train.
One of them, aged 12, was killed in the accident while the other boy is currently in critical condition.
Residents near the PNR railway said they did not recognize the two victims. They said it is possible that the two lived along Osmeña Highway and were just passing through the area.
Meanwhile, the driver of the train involved in the incident has been brought to the station of the PNR for investigation. —a report from Zhander Cayabyab, dzMM
