REGIONAL: 2 new cases of Zika virus case recorded in Iloilo

The Department of Health confirmed of two more victims who tested positive of the Zika virus in Iloilo City.

According to Health Sec. Paulyn Jean Ubial, the two new patients live with the woman who tested positive of the said virus last week.

Ubial added that the two victims are only experiencing mild skin rashes.

They need not be brought to the hospital as well because they are on their way to recovery.

The DOH team visited more than 80 houses near the home of the said victims to identify if there are other victims who could have been infected by the virus.

The local government is also conducting means in order to prevent the breeding of mosquitos, which are carriers of the said virus.
