MANILA - Senator Leila De Lima denied reports that she has/had an affair with convicted drug lord Jaybee Sebastian.
During Congress’ hearing on the allege illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prisons, some of the witnesses who are inmates at the NBP, claimed that they often see De Lima staying for long period of hours inside Sebastian’s “bungalow.”
De Lima insisted that the inmates’ statement were malicious and that they were just part of a script to ruin her reputation.
Inmates, including Herbert Colangco, Noel Martinez and Froilan Trestiza are pinpointing Sebastian to be De Lima’s “pointman” in the illegal drug trade inside the NBP, and were allegedly ordered a monthly payout to fund De Lima’s Senatorial campaign.
Meanwhile, the lady Senator said that she worries of her safety amid the alleged harassment being done to her by the Duterte administration.
De Lima said that she feels that her safety is in danger especially when she has no one else to approach to for help in her security and privacy.
According to De Lima, she cannot just approach authorities like the PNP and the AFP or even the NBI; so she would rather just op to move out of her current home because their whole subdivision is already being affected by it.
