MANILA - The tension between Senators’ Antonio Trillanes IV and Alan Peter Cayetano is creating buzz in social media.
The video of the two Senators going at it during Thursday’s Senate hearing on the alleged extra-judicial killings amid the Duterte administration’s war against illegal drugs, have gone viral.
The two exchanged fiery words when Trillanes approached Cayetano and said “Hindi kita papopormahin dito”, which irked the latter.
Cayetano fired back, even raising his voice, disregarding that his mic was still turned on. Only when Senator Leila De Lima came in between them and tried to pacify the two Senators.
Netizens have mixed reactions upon seeing the said video, most of which found it entertaining that a catfight happened inside a Senate hearing.
Some of them even commented that they were waiting if the two Senators will end up in a fist-fight.
However, the general sentiment of the netizens was that the two Senators acted immature.
