Manila, Philippines - President Rodrigo Duterte clarified that the country is not cutting its ties with its allied nations.

During his speech at the 48th founding anniversary of the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing in Villamor Airbase in Pasay City, President Duterte said that he will not severe the country’s ties with its allied nations, whether it is the United States of America or other country in Europe and Asia.

However, President Duterte insisted that it is time for the Philippines to insist on its sovereignty and its freedom.

Duterte added that the Philippines should not be considered a small country which can be shouted at, or lectured on by other countries or their Presidents.
