MANILA - Things have started to further heat up between José Aldo and Conor McGregor.
Both men are currently in Brazil to kick-off the UFC 189 world press tour, and so far, there has been no love among the two 145-pounders.

McGregor initiated the pre-fight festivities after boldly using Aldo's photo as target in a short darts game he played in an Irish pub in Rio. And the moment when the two fighters finally met face-to-face at the press conference at the Maracanazinho gymnasium in front of a frenzied screaming Brazilian crowd in attendance, the intensity was already on an all-time high.
Quotable quotes:

"I own this town. I own Rio de Janeiro. I'm sitting up here with my feet on the desk. What's anyone up there gonna do about it? Not one of you are gonna do anything about it." - Conor McGregor
"I'm saying he's 50-50. He's not as good as he thinks he is. He just got here because of what he talks. He's never gotten a good fighter, he's never gotten any good fight in this division that could give him any risk." - José Aldo

"I would invade his favela on horseback and kill anyone that was not fit to walk. But we are in a new time. So I will whoop his ass in July." - Conor McGregor

"You can all be rest assured that he's just another one." - José Aldo

"The short story: I'm gonna bang a left hand straight down the pipe, and break his nose." - Conor McGregor

"We're here because of what Conor has done in the Octagon, and that's what makes this fight so big." - UFC president Dana White

But before all the words were traded, Aldo offered a snappy message for his Irish adversary.
