MANILA - A Filipino boxer scored a huge win during last weekend's boxing card in Macau, China.
Aston Palicte (17-1, with 15 victories by knockout) knocked out Mexico's Ismael Garnica (13-6-1, with 5 victories by knockout) in the seventh round of their scheduled ten-round junior bantamweight contest.

The 24-year old Palicte, who fights under Manny Pacquiao's MP Promotions, was dominant throughout the entire fight, beating his adversary to a bloody mess. After seven rounds of laying down beatings, referee Eddie Claudio had seen enough and stepped in to put the fight to a halt at the 2:19 mark.

Having achieved success in his international debut, Palicte was quickly dedicated his victory to Pacquiao, who will be fighting the biggest bout of his life against Floyd Mayweather on May 2nd.
"We're rooting for his victory, praying for his safety versus Floyd Mayweather," said the Bago City native.
