Comebacking Diether Ocampo to join new Judy Ann soap

MANILA - After taking a break for almost two years, actor Diether Ocampo is making his TV comeback in ABS-CBN's upcoming series "Someone To Watch Over Me," which also stars Judy Ann Santos and Richard Yap.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Ocampo, who was last seen in the 2013 series "Apoy Sa Dagat" with Angelica Panganiban, explained that during his absence from showbiz, he was taking up an entrepreneurship program.

"And, of course, I was waiting for the right project. Finally Dreamscape offered this project and I'm very happy that they considered me," Ocampo said.

Ocampo, who also took a liking to riding horses, denied that he has become "picky" with his showbiz projects.

"I don't think picky is the right word. Hindi lang siguro fit, mahirap naman na ipilit. But of course I'm very thnkful to the people who considered me, always thankful," he said.

In "Someone To Watch Over Me," Ocampo plays the role of Anthony who falls in love with the character of Santos.

"Pero ang tingin ng character ni Judy Ann sa kanya ay kaibigan lang. Magkakakroon ng interesting twist kasi another character will be coming in," Ocampo said.
