Manila, Philippines - The Liberal Party stated that they are willing to extend their support to incoming Senate President Koko Pimentel amid not having a coalition with the PDP-Laban.
Senate President Franklin Drilon said that the LP is committed to provide aid on the new leadership in the Senate.

In fact, they gave their support to Pimentel to become the Senate President in the 17th Congress, against Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.

Drilon made sure of the cooperation of the LP and they will continue to be united for the existing check and balance of the Senate.

The outgoing Senate President made the statement amid the failed supposed coalition between LP and PDP-Laban at the House of Representatives.
