Manila, Philippines - Around 1, 400 passengers are currently stranded in different ports in the Bicol region after the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) suspended ships and boats from setting sail due to public storm warning signal number one raised by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in four provinces amid typhoon Carina.

Among affected areas with the ‘no sailing policy’ of PCG are ports in Tabaco City, Albay; Pasacao Post in Camarines Sur and Codon Port in Catanduanes.

PCG monitors all Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) in connection with typhoon Carina.
