Manila, Philippines - The Armed Forces of the Philippines confirmed that the Aquino administration has defective low-cost housing projects intended for poor soldiers and police officers.
AFP spokesman Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla made the said statement after Magdalo Partylist Rep.

Gary Alejano pushed for the investigation on the said project, which he refers to as house of pigeons.
In an interview with DZRH, Gen. Padilla said that they have been receiving complaints from their members regarding the alleged substandard housing projects.

According to Padilla, the AFP is willing to help in the proposed investigation of Congress regarding the controversial housing projects.

The AFP official added that only a few are applying for housing because there is no supply of water and electricity in the said houses.  Also, the said housing units are far from any schools and or public markets.

Prior to this, Congressman Alejano allegedly inspected the housing units in Baras, Rizal and Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon and saw the inhumane housing environment for the inhabitants.
