3 days after the controversial SC's decision, CGMA remains to be on hospital arrest at VMMC

Manila, Philippines - Former Philippine President and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo remains inside the Veteran’s Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City amid the Supreme Court’s decision of acquitting her from the Plunder case filed against her.

Based on report, the copy of the said highest court’s decision is currently making its round to all the justices for their signature before it can be brought to the sheriff of the Sandiganbayan.

From the Anti-graft court, the copy of the said decision will be brought to the Philippine National police, CGMA’s custodian, and will then be delivered to the VMMC.  Only then will Mrs. Arroyo can be allowed to go home after being under hospital arrest for five years.

Mrs. Arroyo’s plunder case stemmed from the alleged anomalous used of the more than Php366 million funds of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office when she was still the President of the country.
