Duterte hints on increase in salary of teachers

Manila, Philippines - After his promise of an increase in the salary of the military, President Rodrigo Duterte’s next target will be the wage hike for teachers.

During his speech at the briefing of new military officials in Camp Nakar, Lucena City, Quezon on Thursday, the President promised that there will be an increase in the salary of soldiers starting this August, and will continue until it becomes double.

Prior to this, one of Duterte’s priorities is to increase the salary of soldiers and military, to put an end to their illegal activities.

Meanwhile, the President remained mum on the details on how his administration will fund the said wage hike for teachers.
