Manila, Philippines - There are no terror threats for the first State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte, scheduled this Monday, July 25.

According to Armed Forces of the Philippines Spokesman Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla, the agency has yet to receive any terror threat for the President’s first SONA.

However, Padilla stated that the intelligence community continues to monitor and gather data for any possible terror threats for Monday’s event.

Even if there is no SONA, Padilla said that the AFP is always on alert for any terror threat.

Prior to this, the AFP spokesman said that the AFP-Joint Task Force NCR is already preparing for the implementation of the security measures in the Batasan Complex, Quezon City.

Padilla said that soldiers are now practicing what they will do as part of their mandate for Monday’s SONA.
