Washington, D.C - US Secretary of State John Kerry said that the United States government supports the Philippines in becoming a more competitive country.
In line with this, the US will strengthen its free trade, protection of intellectual property rights, fight off corruption and maintain a sustainable development in the country.
According to Perry, the Philippines is one of the fastest growing economies in the world in recent years. The US is at one in further improving its commerce.
The US official added that the friendship between the Philippines and the United States is strong, especially its economic relations.
