Whistleblower Sandra Cam revealed that a former undersecretary of the Justice Department used to be the ‘bagman’ of Sen. Leila De Lima when she was still the Justice Secretary.

During a press briefing at Club Filipino in San Juan, Cam said that former Usec. Francisco Baraan III used to be De Lima’s bagman with her anomalous transactions.

Cam particularly mentioned the Php94Million worth of illegal contracts entered by the Bureau of Corrections, wherein the DOJ received commissions from it.

The whistleblower insisted that Baraan used to collect the share of the DOJ in the anomalous projects and there is no denying that the former Justice Secretary received a cut from it.

Cam made the statement following the drug matrix issued by President Rodrigo Duterte recently, wherein De Lima and Baraan, together with other known personalities were allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison.

Meanwhile, Baraan immediately denied Cam’s statement and that continuously deny his involvement in the alleged illegal drug trade inside the national penitentiary.
