MANILA - The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) is set to create a ministry in every diocese to discuss the issue on same sex attraction.

Under the said ministry, it will explain to people the importance of marriage between a man and a woman and not of the same sex.

According to Daet Bishop Gilbert Garcera, CBCP Episcopal Commission on Family and Life Chair, the ministry aims to guide people to avoid getting attracted to the same sex.

However, Garcera clarified that people attracted to same sex should be respected and not be condemned, as Pope Francis stated in his guidelines.
