PASAY CITY  - Twenty miles before landing, the Manila Control Tower received reports that the Saudia flight SVA 872 from Jeddah was under threat.

MIAA together with the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group immediately were on standby and led the said aircraft into an isolated area at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Saudia Airlines authorities are now present at the location, awaiting order from the PNP-ASG and the MIAA authorities.

On board the plane are pilgrims who came from the annual Hajj.
