ENTERTAINMENT: Duterte discourages Steve Harvey to host Miss Universe 2017 in the PH

Manila, Philippines - President Rodrigo Duterte said that he does not want Steve Harvey to host the Miss Universe 2017 pageant to be held in Manila next year.

Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo made the confirmation during a presscon in Malacanang on Thursday.
Teo said that she have already sent initial information to  the office of the President that his request is not possible because the US comedian still has an existing contract with  Miss Universe organization.

President Duterte assured the Tourism Secretary that he will have to talk to the organizers of the said pageant regarding his issue with Harvey.

Meanwhile, during the presscon, Teo announced that the official date for the Miss Universe coronation night will be on January 30, 2017.

The prestigious beauty pageant will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and candidates are scheduled to tour the country, including Davao, Cebu Iloilo, Vigan and Ilocos.
