Philippines - The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines need to have a new protocol in its airports in case incoming President Rodrigo Duterte goes on with his plan to go back and forth from Davao to Manila every day.

According to CAAP Deputy Director for Operations retired General Rodante Joya, though they consider this plan unprecedented for a President to use a commercial plane for his trips, the Presidential Security Group and other government agencies need to provide a new protocol, for the security of the President.

Joya admits that though it is only minimal, President Duterte’s plan will have an effect to other passengers, because one of the protocols is for all flights to be halted until the president’s plane has either took off or landed.

However, all these will change once the President makes his final decision regarding the said issue.
