The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has suspended the franchise of Dela Rosa Transit after one of its buses crushed a Toyota Vios along EDSA on Thursday morning (February 6).

In a special meeting held on the same day as the crash, the LTFRB approved the preventive suspension of the franchise of Dela Rosa Transit, as posted on LTFRB's official Twitter account.
The LTFRB further required all drivers of Dela Rosa Transit to undergo drug testing and road safety seminar within 15 days from the receipt of the order.

According to reports, the bus with plate number TYM 249 crashed into the rear a gray Toyota Vios, leaving the car crushed as it was sandwiched between the Dela Rosa bus and another bus in front of it.

The freak accident, which happened along the EDSA northbound lane near Muñoz Market, trapped the sedan driver inside. One grueling hour later, firefighters safely pulled him out of the wreckage and took him to the hospital.

The bus driver was arrested and is now in jai.  - 9News Online
