MANILA, Philippines - Actress-host Kris Aquino on Tuesday shrugged off reports that actor Phillip Salvador, the father of her first child, Joshua, felt bad when she did not invite him to their son’s graduation on March 20.
During a press conference for her 5th album, "My Heart’s Journey," under Universal Records, Aquino said Salvador should understand why he was not part of the event.
"Ilang times naman in interview sinabi na tumayo akong mag-isa bilang magulang ni Josh. Hindi niya sini-sekreto sa inyong lahat na financially, physically, psychologically, emotional na ako lang. Siguro naiintindihan niya na kung day-to-day wala kayong communication, araw ‘yon ng pamilya ko na araw-araw ay kasama ni Josh," she explained.
Kris also said Josh is not asking her about his real father.
"In fairness kay Noy (President Benigno Aquino III) talaga, wala akong mahihingi sa kapatid ko in the sense na [siya] ‘yong male figure sa buhay ni Josh. Hindi talaga nawala kasi ginampanan talaga ‘yon ng kapatid kong lalaki," she added.
'The Price Is Right' new timeslot
Currently, Aquino is hosting ABS-CBN's "The Price Is Right." She is also co-producing the Manila concert of international Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars this coming Friday and Saturday.
On speculation that she is unhappy over the decision of ABS-CBN management to change the timeslot of her game show, Aquino said it is not true.
"I respect ABS-CBN management because it was shown to me by the head of our research why [we have to move it]," Aquino said.
The Queen of All Media stressed that because of ABS-CBN's decision, her show is doing better in terms of television rating.
"It was really a good decision to move me to Saturday because now we are doing much better. Thank you God," Aquino said.
Rumor has it that due to low TV ratings the network decided to change the show's timeslot.
