REGION | Cops nab 2 rape suspects in separate Pangasinan operations

Two rapes suspect in the province of Pangasinan were arrested on Wednesday, January 11, 2017,

MANILA, Philippines – Operatives of the police Crime Investigation and Detection Group arrested an elderly farmer wanted for rape in Pangasinan on Wednesday.

The suspect was identified as Rosendo "Rico" Nuesca, a 64-year-old farmer.

Nuesca was apprehended by the joint forces of Pangasinan CIDG and Umingan Municipal Police Station about 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday in Barangay Capaz in Umingan, Pangasinan.

The authorities served Nuesca the two arrest warrants for three counts of violating RA 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

Meanwhile, another rape suspect in the province was caught in a separate operation in the municipality of Urbiztondo.

A manhunt operation was launched by the Pangasinan CIDG and Urbiztondo Police Station that led to the arrest of John Lester Abreu in Barangay Angatel.

Abreu is wanted for four counts of Rape under an arrest warrant issued by Judge Hermogenes Fernandez of Regional Trial Court Branch. 56 in San Carlos City, Pangasinan
