Pocari Sweat cops V-League crown anew, bests Customs

MANILA, Philippines – Two’s a charm for the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors.

The Lady Warriors continued their mastery of the Shakey's V-League after defeating the Bureau of Customs Transformers 25-14, 25-8, 22-25, 25-23 to claim the Reinforced Title on Monday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Middle blocker Desiree Dadang delivered the winning ace for the Lady Warriors.

Head coach Rommel Abella said he is happy with the win since they know that the tournament is theirs to begin with
 
"Very happy kami kasi we accomplished what we came here for which is to win the conference." he said.
 
"From the start sinabi ko na sa mga players namin na malakas yung team namin and it's just mind setting lang kung gusto talaga naming manalo."
American Bre Mackie, who was awarded best import earlier, led the Lady Warriors with 23 points.
 
Customs' Thai import lived up to the showdown and had her best game of the conference tallying 32 kills built on 28 attacks, two blocks and two service ace.
 
Three time Shakey's V-League MVP Alyssa Valdez was limited to 10 points.
Pocari also won the season opening conference months ago with a service ace from setter Gyzel Sy.
