MANILA, Philippines – Facing a Senate panel for the first time, suspected drug lord Rolan "Kerwin" Espinosa denied that he has a ledger that supposedly contains the names of his drug protectors.

“Wala akong blue book,” Espinosa maintained on Wednesday at the inquiry of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.

Albuera police chief Jovie Espinido earlier claimed that the late Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa based his allegations in his affidavit on Kerwin's supposed blue book. Espenido said that aside from the blue book, Mayor Espinosa also had a separate “pink book.”

Mayor Espinosa was killed by police at the Baybay Sub-provincial Jail earlier this month. They said the mayor, who surrendered to the police twice, had fired at them before they could serve a search warrant.

The blue book allegedly has 226 names of politicians, judges and police officers who received drug money from the illegal drug trade of the younger Espinosa.

Supposedly included in the list is former Justice secretary and now Sen. Leila de Lima, who reportedly received a total of P8 million.
“Hindi ko kailangan ng blue book kasi iilan lang sa Region 8 (Eastern Visayas)  ang protector ng droga,” Kerwin continued.

The Albuera police have already filed a case against De Lima at the Ombudsman in Tacloban City.
De Lima has already denied the allegations and said that she doesn't know Kerwin.
