Bishop asks Duterte to “move on”

Basilan Bishop Martin Jumoad fired back at president-elect Rodrigo Duterte after the latter had once again mentioned the issue on the alleged “pajero bishop”, or those bishops who received luxury cars from former president and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

According Bishop Jumoad, who was one of the recipients of the said SUV, he already returned the said vehicle to the government when he found out that it came from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

Jumoad clarified that he did not ask for the said vehicle and based from what he was informed, the vehicle came from the Religious Affairs of Malacanang.

The Bishop added that it took Malacanang a year to convince him to accept the said gift.
In line with this, the Bishop is appealing to the friends of Duterte to give the incoming president advise and explain to him the issue concerning the “Pajero Bishop” because this case has been closed a long time ago.
