Authorities found missing body of OFW in Israel

Manila Philippines - The missing body of an OFW who died from heart attack in Israel has been found.

According to Joy Punzalan, owner of JPS Funeral Homes in Porac, Pampanga, Grace Roque, the cousin of the victim who is residing in Tel Aviv, was able to identify the body of Fernando Peralta, the OFW who suffered heart attack and died in Israel.

Prior to this, a wrong corpse was sent by the funeral home in Tel Aviv to the family of Peralta in Pampanga.

Punzalan said that the previous body they received was Shang Jun Yao, a Chinese national from Pudong, China.  Yao’s body was mistakenly sent by Haiki Karib, the funeral manager from Tel Aviv, to the Philippines, assuming that it belonged to the Filipino caregiver.
