Authorities recorded 160 election-related incidents in 2016.
According to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP), around 29 of the incidents are election-related, with 16 fatalities.
60 incidents are not election related, while 71 are connected with politics.
Meanwhile, 4,149 have been arrested already due to the existing election gun ban.
Also, more than 107 people have been arrested due to liquor ban violation.
According to B/gen. Restituto Padilla, it is important for civilians to cooperate to keep the elections safe and peaceful.
