Lacson defends 3 police generals

Manila Philippines - Senator Panfilo Lacson came to the rescue of the three “police generals” who are being asked to resign by president-elect Rodrigo Duterte in connection with their alleged involvement in illegal drugs.

According to Lacson, the three police generals should undergo due process to know if they are indeed guilty of the said accusation.

Lacson added that it is possible that the names of the three generals were just dragged from the said controversy and that the public should not be quick to judge.

The newly elected Senator explained that he agrees with the incoming president’s campaign against corruption but he should be careful in using information as basis because this will be unfair to other members of the Philippine National Police.
