3 children died in Cainta fire

MANILA PHILIPPINES - Three children died in a fire that hit 50 houses in Cainta, Rizal on Friday night.

Authorities identified the fatalities; Kevin Espinosa, 9; Nico Espinosa, 14 and their two-year-old cousin Coleen Espinosa who live in Apple-2 Village of the mentioned town.

Supt. Marlon Gnilo, Cainta police chief said that the fire flared around 11:40pm in Valley Golf, Brgy. San Juan.

Gnilo mentioned, that according to arson investigators, the fire possibly started from unattended candle.

The fire reached to fourth alarm and was put out at 1:40am.

Around 29 families are affected from the fire and are temporarily sheltered at the covered court of Palmera Homes-2 in Taytay, Rizal.
