BAGUIO CITY - The PDEA has taken the lead in the government's war on drugs. File photo BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Three alleged drug peddlers, including a Hong Kong resident, were arrested in a sting operation in Aurora Hill in Baguio City on Wednesday afternoon. Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera caught John Daryl Malicdem Villanueva, Joemar Roblas Cañavera and Clint Joseph Ambrosio Macachor after they sold two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets allegedly containing shabu worth P14,000 to an undercover agent.
Cañavera is a legal resident of Hong Kong but lives on Asin Road, Baguio City. Authorities also seized the buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia and a mobile phone from the trio.
They will be facing charges for violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy) , Article II of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, when tried at the local drugs court.
