British, Filipino businessmen eye more food ventures

MANILA Philippines  - More British and Philippine companies are getting into brand partnerships and are looking outside the capital for growth, Chris Nelson, Philippine chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce said on Monday.

Outside of engineering, software and pharmaceuticals, there's a growing push for businesses in both countries to partner in the food and beverage industry, Nelson said.

Nelson credits a combination of diplomacy, a growing trade industry and improved Philippine-British ties for this thriving partnership.
