Edward Payson was a famous preacher in a bygone era. One stormy Sunday, he had only one person in his audience. Some months later his lone attendee called on him: "I was led to the Savior through that service," he said. "For wherever you talked about sin  and salvation, I glanced around to see to whom you referred, but since there was no one there but me, I had no alternative but to lay every word to my own heart and conscience!"

God saves us one by one. If you have access to one, that is your mission field. "Every soul with Christ is a missionary; every soul without Christ is a mission field," the slogan goes. One person cannot reach the entire world, but we can love our neighbor. "Who is my neighbor?" we ask. The next person we meet along the way.

The spirit brought Philip to the Ethiopian eunuch who was reading the scriptures and needed someone to explain them to him (Acts 8:26-35). The Spirit gave Philip the right words to say, and the eunuch confessed his faith in Christ (v.37).

Ask God to bring you to the one He has prepared. He'll get you to the right place at the right time to speak to that individual. He will speak through your lips, work through your hands and fulfill in you the great purpose of His will. - David Roper

Para maimbitahan ang mga Filipino scientists at researchers sa abroad para umuwi, itataas natin ang kanilang sweldo at magbibigay tayo ng mga dagdag na incentives para sa experts at specialists. Pauunlarin natin ang kabuhayan ng mga Pilipinong siyentipiko, hindi lamang upang mapanatili sila sa bansa, kundi para rin mapagbuti ang kalidad ng kanilang pamumuhay.

Hihingin natin sa Kongreso na ipasa a...ng panukalang Pinoy Innovator Act, na naglalayong magtatag ng programa para gawaran ng premyo ang mga nagsusulong ng makabagong technolohiya. Kung hindi man maipasa ng Kongreso ang mga panukala sa unang kalahati ng taon, maglalabas ako ng mga executive order upang maisakatuparan ang plataporma kong ito.

MIRIAM: No ONE believes in survey

Presidential candidate Miriam Defensor Santiago belied the results of the latest pre-election surveys, as she urged the public on Friday to guard against “mind-conditioning” by moneyed candidates and their wealthy supporters.

Santiago, who has topped almost all campus and social media polls since the filing of certificates of candidacy, said reports have reached her that some pollsters have excluded her name in the survey forms distributed to respondents.

“No one believes surveys anymore because, in the first place, it’s all over social media that my name has been removed from some of the forms used in these surveys so that respondents would be forced to vote for other candidates,” the senator said.

Several individuals who claim to have been respondents for pre-election surveys charge that they had to write down Santiago’s name on the survey form because it was not on the options provided. Others said they chose “Undecided” instead.

In her homecoming speech before supporters at the University of the Philippines Visayas in Iloilo City, Santiago urged millennials to “use their wits and not vote for nitwits,” in the coming elections.

The polls Santiago is inclined to believe are those led by student organizations or campus publications. She has topped almost all such surveys, including:

De La Salle University Manila, 75 percent;
Polytechnic University of the Philippines, 64 percent;
Universilty of the Philippines (U.P.) Los Baños, 86 percent;
University of Santo Tomas, 66 percent;
Ateneo De Manila University, 36.6 percent;
U.P. Manila, 59.5 percent;
University of Northern Philippines, 35.85 percent;
Malayan Colleges Laguna, 54.7 percent;
Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 58.5 percent;
U.P. Diliman, 41.6 percent;
Holy Angel University, 40 percent;
University of Asia and the Pacific, 43.2 percent;
Adamson University, 64 percent;
Ateneo de Naga University, 37.4 percent;
U.P. Baguio, 78.2 percent;
Philippine Normal University, 76 percent;
West Visayas State University, 47 percent; and
a U.P. cross-campus survey (Diliman, Los Baños, and Baguio), 56.5 percent.
Santiago’s campaign for the May elections is focused on campus tours, similar to the 1992 campaign which almost won her the presidency. She is scheduled to deliver a speech at the main campus of the Saint Louis University in Baguio City Saturday.

Masakit man tanggapin para sa iba, bakit kaya nila pinagpapalit ang Presidente na may PLATAPORMA dun sa mga puro PORMA lang? Pero wala e, ganyan talaga sa Pinas kung saan uso at saan ka natuwa dun ka. Kaya madaming mahirap, kasi ang karamihan ay walang edukasyon, bulok ang transportasyon, kulang sa impormasyon kaya walang alam sa solusyon at umaasa lang sa donasyon.

Masakit makita na naghihirap ang mga kababayan natin, habang ako at ang iilan sa atin ay nakaranas ng mas maginhawang buhay kaysa sa iba, kung ang ilan sa atin ay may kaya paano naman ang iba? Hindi natin kailangan maging pulitiko para makatulong pero kailangan nating pumili ng totoong pulitko para sa pagsulong.

Sana piliin natin ang tama, oo mayroong 'pwede na' pero mayroon naman na kandidato na 'subok na' kaso pilit hahadlangan ng iba dahil pag nanalo siya hindi na sila makakapagnakaw. Panahon na para baguhin ang ating pananaw.

Ngunit ano pa man ang desisyon ninyo ay malugod ko pong nirerespeto. Alam ko namang 18 lang ako at ano ang alam ko sa mga pangyayari noon pero hindi tayo ang nakaraan, tayo, ang bukas!

OPINION: Vote wisely - Do it simply! never Complicate!

It's election time again, six years has passed from the last time we chose the country's Commander-in-Chief, the same time when we choose to elect the country's Chief and local executives, our Leaders, who all are given equal opportunities to serve the nation and uplift the lives of every Filipinos - in and outside of the country, who by hook or by crook will be thrown into the public offices they're vying and are running for through the people's vote, our sacred rights which often are being abused by these candidates just to get the people's trust and count on their - again, votes!

 Election time tests not only candidates, but citizens as well. According to the candidate's common platforms they eagerly want to serve the public, common reasons and principles which made these politicians run and vie for public office,  the office and title they want to earn in exchange of serving the public for several years. Most candidates are hopeful to be the 'masses favorites' so they will hold on to their post and fight for it until maximum terms is reached.

Running into public office is synonymous to public service, every citizen is given equal rights to serve, hold public office and govern its people. Hence, this right is equally given to every qualified voters, everyone is encouraged to exercise this right to contribute to nation-building and the growth of the country. Through this, we are compelled to be inspiring models, not wet blankets, for the future of our nation and hope of giving our children the best and better nation they will ever have.

Every media institutions, government offices and agencies, including private companies down to simple citizen has their say as to who to entrust their votes for. Majority, if not all have expressed and shown support on their candidates to make them win the fight. But the question is - - - Is that really good for the country, for ourselves? Showing sides really is one of the many tricks of election exercises. That is the main reason why politicians have  established and are establishing political parties to show how big and powerful they are to earn peoples trusts and votes..

But the thing is, the more partisan we are, the more judgmental we become. We are driving hatred instead of promoting good sportsmanship in exercising this political right. Know what will ever happen after that? The more we set the platform for the continued divisiveness that guarantees the hell we cannot escape after elections.

I have always wondered why Philippine society led by the elite, the rich, the powerful and even the learned, somehow think they can jumble up fundamental priorities. Well, I was jolted back to the grim reality that the wealthiest one percent of the world own more than the balance of ninety-nine percent (99%). This is why the natural order of things can be screwed so badly yet succeed—because one percent (1%) controls everything.

So now that our right to suffrage is to be exercised again we have to decide who to vote for righteously, we have to ask and asses ourselves who will be the best for the country.

We then quickly to deduce that the important element to our answer involves competence and experience. Our nation needs to vote a different kind of breed of politicians, has the insurmountable credibility, honesty, good governance, address the poor needs, re-engineered strategic reforms, economic and national policies and someone that could offer a different kind of new government and new order to rid off the corrupted government bureaucracy and members of Congress that serves only personal interests and agenda. Thus the battle-cry for the winning candidate in this election will be shifted from experience and competence to credibility, honesty and good governance.

It's very hard to find a perfect candidate in this world. The world is a place of constant change. If we are positive, strong and confident, we will be ready to accept these changes, challenges and utilize the system to have that room for improvement. Vote for a President who has a vision for the future, an effective leadership style, a political philosophy. Vote for a President who is not a thief, whose relatives are not thieves, who does not surround himself with thieves and above all the candidate who is a God-loving and a God-fearing citizen outside and more importantly inside of his office, to guide and lead him to the right path (straight path or not) in dealing with plans and decisions that involve the risks and the future of every citizens of this country - our beloved Philippines.

Sa mga nagtatanong po kung bakit si Miriam ang Presidente ko, isa po ang nakasulat sa larawan sa itaas sa maraming rason kung bakit libre at taos puso ko siyang sino-suportahan. Isa rin sa maraming kahanga-hangang katangiang taglay niya.

Sinasabi ng iba na brain damaged daw si Miriam, tawanan lang po natin sila sapagkat ang totoo sila yong may damage. Napakarami na nating nakitamg kahanga-hangang mga bagay at mga accomplishments niya pero bakit hindi natin masuportahan ang isang tulad niya?

She is the Country's number 1 law maker -Yes, but she is not a breaker of it. This CNN infographic report proves and tells us that.

Kaya ayaw nyo ng korap at abusadong lider? aba eto oh, nagsusumigaw ang katotohanan, tinutuklaw na tayo hindi parin natin maimulat mga mata natin!

Sabi ko kanina sa debate namin comparing Mayor Duterte and Sen. MIRIAM DEFENSOR SANTIAGO, kako wala namang problema alinman o sinomang manalo sa dalawa. Pero ang smart voter kako would go and vote for aspiring President not just because a candidate is fame, but because that candidate has excellent accomplishments. Oo nga't marami namang nagawa si Duterte sa Davao, pero comparing it to the works of Miriam in all the branches of the government is not fair, as the latter has been serving Pinoys for the longest time now and that's in the National level, where the general welfare of every Filipino is centered. Duterte on the other-hand has served office in the local post (position).

Oo nga't hindi naman idinidikta ng Batas na dapat magkaroon muna ng karanasan ang isang politiko sa panunungkulan sa Nasyonal na lebel o sa mas mataas na posisyon pero hindi ba't mas bentahe na ang ilalagay natin sa posisyon bilang susunod na komander at punong ehekutibo ay yaong may malawak, matagal at may mas malinis na rekord sa paninilbihan higit lalo ay wala siyang isyu ng korapsyon, pagpatay at pag-abuso sa pwesto o maging sa karapatang pantao?

Habang nagsasaya ang ilan sa pagka panalo ni pacman at sa malamang ay panalo rin nila sa pustahan, magawa din sana natin ang ipagdasal ang mga kaluluwa ng matatapang nating sundalo na nagbuwis na naman ng kanilang mga buhay para sa ating kaligtasan laban sa pangaabuso ng mga bwisit na mga rebelde.


Ang mga ito ay biktima hindi lamang ng karahasan ng mga rebeldeng abu sayaff kundi pati na ng kapabayaan sa parte ng afp at ng gobyerno.


An dami ng ibinuhos na pera para sa moderniz...ation ng ating sandatahang lakas pero napaka-hina parin ng intel unit ng afp at ng gobyerno sapagkat marami parin ang nalalagas sa bilang ng ating mga sundalo't kapulisan. At sa bawat ulat hinggil sa dogmaang ito, wala man lamang augmentation force ang naipapadala ang gobyerno gamit ang mga makabagong kaganitang ito.

Tanong, meron nga bang modernization na ginagawa ang pamahalaan o ito'y pabalat lamang para maibulsa nila ang pondo ng bayan? Kasi kung meron bakit sa mahigit sampung oras ng bakbakan, bakit walang ipinadadalang tulong angbkanilang hanay para makubkob ang mga pasaway at barbaric na grupo?


Kung sana'y maganda ang pamamalakad nila hindi tayo mawawalan ng ganito karaming bilang ng mga sundalo sa engkwentro nila laban sa hindi naman kalakihang mga rebeldeng grupo. Kung ganito kapabaya ang Pamahalaan sa mga nagtatanggol sa Bayan, sino pa sa mga susunod na taon o henerasyon ang maglalakas loob na pumasok sa serbisyo (afp, pnp, navy, etc)?

Our thoughts and condolences are for the families of these brave soldiers and we pray for the final end of this henious and barbaric acts of these rebel groups.

Patay ang 18 sundalo ng 44th Infantry Battalion habang 53 ang nasugatan sa 10 oras na bakbakan ng mga Militar sa mga bandidong Abu Sayyaf sa Basilan araw ng Sabado, April 9, Araw ng Kagitingan.
Nakasagupa ng mga militar ang tropa ng Abu Sayyaf commander na si Isnilon Hapilon. Alas siyete na ng umaga nang ubusin ang isang platoon at opisyal nito, habang tumagal naman ang bakbakan hanggang alas singko ng hapon.
Apat sa nasawing sundalo ay pinugutan pa ng ulo. Ang nasabing mga nasawi ay hindi naman kinumpirma ng Western Mindanao Command, pinagbawalan din ang mga mamahayag na makapasok sa headquaters kahit pa sa media center.
Kinumpirma naman ni Major Filemon Tan Jr., tagapagsalita ng Western Mindanao Command na 53 [22] sundalo ang nasugatan [at 18 ang namatay] sa nasabing bakbakan sa Sitio Bayoko Brangay Baguindan Tipo-Tipo.
Sinabi pa ni Tan, tinatayang nasa 120 bandido na pinaniniwalaang miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf ang nakasagupa ng 44th IB Sabado ng umaga. Nakatanggap naman ng ulat si ARMM Gov. Mujiv Hataman na may mga sundalo ang nasawi sa pakikipagbarilan nila sa grupo ni Isnilon Hapilon.
“Troops are blocking their entry, that is what I got from the ground,” ani Hataman..
