Manila, Philippines - Another list of politicians who are linked to the drug trade will be revealed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
According to Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Mike Sueno, among the narco-politicians to be named in the coming days are congressmen, governors, and baranggay captains, some of them from Metro Manila.
Sueno asserted that the narco-politicians mentioned by Duterte are only those who have been verified and validated, are facing charges, and may possibly be slapped with suspensions, after undergoing due process.
On Sunday, Duterte announced the names of public officials allegedly linked to the illegal drug trade during his visit to the wake of a soldier killed during a military’s encounter with the New People’s Army in Compostela Valley.
