4 army soldiers to be dismissed after testing positive for drugs

Manila, Philippines - Four soldiers from the Philippine Army will be dismissed after testing positive for illegal drugs during their confirmatory drug test.

Army Spokesperson Col. Benjamin Hao refused to name the four soldiers but said that one of them is a staff sergeant and three of them are corporals.

Hao said he would eventually reveal the identities of these soldiers in the coming days.

Prior to this, 13 out of 2, 500 soldiers tested positive after the Philippine Army conducted a surprise drug test on July 5. Those who tested positive were ordered to undergo confirmatory drug tests
